It’s perfect for giving an amazing drive and power. The focus is on articulations and playing styles, rather than recording and sound engineering.Hi think Jaeger is a completely different sound compared to what I heard before…the library is extremely tight, hard and in your face. It can reach into more traditional orchestral, but its main strength is in that precise, in-your-face sound which blends well with synths, guitar, sound etc, and there are also nice sound design patches that are easy to tweak right in the UI.I’d say the Metropolis Ark libraries feel more like traditional orchestral libraries in terms of sound and workflow, with more traditional mixes (lots of microphones!), and no integrated “sound design” facilities or similar.

You will create more potential Phase issues that could be avoided when using different rooms. On the other hand Jaeger is very aggressive, so if Albion miss the bite and attack in the strings, then Jaeger will help.To make it clear, I think it’s far more beneficial to use two completely different libraries instead of using more or less the same when layering. And obviously it’s very beneficial to hear the instruments not in context on this case but more on its own to understand how the sound and room work. For example: Albion is great for room and ostinato stuff, and have a very lush sounding room verb. Jaeger should not be the first choice, as it’s just designed for one task: Power.I think that Albion One and Jaeger would compliment each other better, however, it depends on what you want and need. So you’ll better have it before you go with them. From my experience…it should be very easy if you look for one major library to start with…it’s either Albion One or Ark 1.
Native Instruments Metropolis Ark 1 Full Of Reverb
If you do lush tracks, it’s the way to go, like HZ - Time, but Trailer stuff or more orchestral soundtracks with the goal to still have contrast in dynamics and punchy mixes, it’s better to go with two different libraries or just use one. It can work great as an effect but if start doing it all over the place you not only get muddy mixes, your music is full of reverb, almost no separation. I hear it a lot and it’s „swammy“, if you know what I mean. Sometimes just one single library will do much better than layering two together.
